Horning’s Hideout is a hidden oasis in the middle of the dense forests of the Pacific Northwest. This venue doubles as a campsite and it’s perfect if you want your guests to feel like they are on a mini vacation themselves. One of the reasons it made my list of Portland’s top outdoor wedding venues.

At Maddy and Avery’s wedding, guests arrived in camper vans, emerging from them in their best cocktail attire. The ceremony spot was gorgeous with a canopy of greenery as their backdrop.

Planning A Horning’s Hideout Wedding

Horning’s Hideout is one of my favorite forest wedding venue’s in Oregon. It’s very secluded, yet it’s only about 45 minutes from Portland. Planning a wedding here is relatively easy because the owners of the property host many weddings and events every summer. However, there are a few key things to consider when planning your wedding.

Camping At Horning’s Hideout

Because Horning’s Hideout is a somewhat remote location, taking advantage of their campground can be a wonderful accomodation option. If you’re guests are more on the adventurous side they can pitch their tents before the ceremony and crawl back into them after hours on the dance floor.

Ceremony Locations at Horning’s Hideout

There are three separate areas you can reserve for your wedding at Horning’s Hideout. The stage area is for larger events and it can host up to 700 people! The Lakeside area is a bit smaller and more intimate. It’s my personal favorite because it feels the most private. The Creekside area is full of lush foliage and it is perfect for more intimate weddings.
