I’ve put together a little Q&A for anyone interested in getting to know a bit more about myself.

 Why are you a photographer?

It’s tough putting into words why I do what I do. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a mix between access to experiences I’d otherwise never have and connecting with people I’d otherwise never meet. I’m drawn to photography because It’s a form of expression that requires you to be physically present. You have to go out into the world, talk to people, build connection and gain trust. It’s become a part of my life and opened up my world.

 Why weddings?

A: I think weddings are awesome. Really, I do! Every wedding is vastly unique but they’re all happening for the same reason. Two people are saying “Yep. This One. Forever.” and everyone around them is shouting “yay!”. It’s a celebration not just for the bride and groom but a celebration of friendship and family. There are tears and laughs and amazing food. You get fancy, eat cake, drink champagne… all in the name of love.

What else do you do?

A: When I’m not running around a wedding you can find me cuddling my cats taco & beans, camping and breathing fresh air, or riding my bike around Portland. Also, I recently got my motorcycle license and picked up a bright blue 1981 Honda Passport – it only goes 30 mph but it’s so much fun!

If you think we’d be a good match on your wedding day Drop me a line and let’s talk!
