First, I met up with Lauren for some pre-wedding prep and later we drove down to the Pearl District for the first look with Wahij. I love the old brick buildings and cobblestone streets in the area and figured it would be the perfect backdrop for some city portraits.
Lauren and Wahij’s wedding was in the heart of Portland’s eastside at Jupiter Next, a newer wedding venue at the Jupiter Hotel. The space worked perfectly with their fresh and modern theme. Lauren’s sister, Vanessa of Portland Bloem, provided all of the gorgeous floral arrangements throughout the venue.
The ceremony was held at the Secret Garden area of Jupiter Next. The space is intimate but still big enough for their close friends and family. A shelf full of mini champagne bottles greeted guests as the arrived for the ceremony. Everyone sipped their bubbles while celebrating the couple as they exchanged their vows.
The reception kicked off with a traditional Lebanese dance that ended with the bride and groom being hoisted into the air. Afterward, the disco ball lit dance floor was full all night long! Congrats Lauren & Wahij!
Planning a Wedding at Jupiter Next
If you’re considering Jupiter Next for your wedding ceremony or your wedding reception (or both!) you’ll have a few options when it comes to choosing a location. They have several different spaces that you can decorate to your specifications.
The Arium Ballroom
Located on the second floor, the Arium ballroom has an industrial vibe with its exposed duct ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and sweeping views of Burnside street. It’s the best space for your reception and it’s really a blank canvas, so you can get creative with decor.
The Secret Garden
This is a beautiful outdoor patio with bamboo surrounding the perimeter to give it an intimate vibe. This can be rented by itself or as an optional add-on to the Arium ballroom.
The Dream Tent
This is a great outdoor space that would be perfect for Spring and early Summer weddings when the weather is somewhat unpredictable in Portland. This tent isn’t your average tent! It’s very spacious and full of beautiful landscaping, modern furniture, and designer lighting.

How to Get to Jupiter Next
Jupiter Next is located right on East Burnside Street just across the Burnside Bridge from Downtown Portland. It’s very central and it’s a quick drive from just about anywhere in Portland.
